AusDesign is committed to providing a priority based design & drafting service to registered Builders.
As former Builders we appreciate the need to have available a reliable drafting service that will complete your designs ready for building approval quickly and efficiently with the minimum amount of interruption to your work schedule.
Our home/office situation enables us to be available 7 days a week ( up to 9pm ) to discuss your project. - We appreciate that many 'hands on' Builders work on after normal business hours and we have tailored our availability accordingly.
Builders can post, fax or email sketch drawings with relevant information to us and we will prepare an initial dimensioned floorplan for you to view and then compile any redraws necessary, until your Client is satisfied with the total layout.
The final working drawings will then be documented ready for council Building approval.
During this process reworked drawings can be posted or faxed to you, or loaded to our 'Clients Pages' for online viewing.
For established Clients we will set up a web page , together with your logo etc, within the locked area of our site where we can upload draft designs to for yourself and your Clients to view.
We are presently refining a program - Volo View - for use on our website which will enable Clients to add notes on design changes and make changes themselves to their design online. Builders wishing to use this service will be notified and given instructions as soon as it is available.
All drawings are documented on A2 size sheets and include :
Floorplan - including full structural member list & general notes.
Elevations - full elevations with relevant notations.
Sections - as required
Bracing detail - full layout with location & type.
Foundation detail - if soil report results within AS2870
Site Plan - including overshadowing & overlooking.
Setout Plan - separate setout sheet for 'complicated' designs.
Similarly, some structural items outside the scope of the 'Timber Framing Code" may need to be documented.
Builders Package
- we have a package for the smaller Builder without display homes, where we will provide a folio of 6 floor plans to your design, that you can advertise, show to prospective clients etc.
The initial cost is 30 percent of our normal price with the balance paid if you use a particular design.
For example - Folio of 6 plans at 150 m2 ( 16 sq ) designed from your sketch drawings total cost $2448.00. ( std. price $8160.00 ) If you have a client who looks to build say plan A, or a reasonably close modification, we will supply full working drawings & you pay the balance of $952.00 for that particular layout. If the plans aren't used you do not pay the balance.
