A brief history

Originally known during the 1890's as the Crossover Cricket Club, in the 1930's Gormandale joined the Traralgon and District Cricket Association but then withdrew and joined the Carrajung Hills Association.

Between 1935 and 1939 the Club won three Premierships and was then in recess during the war years.
During the period of 1945 to 1962 the Club spent sometime playing in the T.D.C.A. and playing in a social competition.
Early in the 1960's the Club joined the T.D.C.A. and entered a B Grade team. Gormandale proved to be a fiercely competitive and highly successful Club winning Five Premierships and being runners up three times as well as making a number of semi-finals appearance.
In the 1974-75 season an A Grade team was entered and the Club again quickly established themselves as a most competitive team and reached the grand final in 1976-77 only to see the match washed out.
Tthe 1980's saw the establishment of a C Grade team and Junior teams.
In the 1982-83 season the club won their first A Grade Premiership. Gormandale 9 for 496 defeat Imperial City 484.
In the 1982-83 season C Grade won the Premiership and again in the 1986-87 season.
B Grade also won in 1983-84 season.
In season 1992-93 A Grade won their second Premiership.
In 1994-95 B Grade won their seventh Premiership.
In the 1996/97 season, A grade made it to the Semi Final being beaten by 6 runs, and the B Grade team went to the Grand Final only to be beaten as well.
1997/98 season, A Grade won the semi final against Toongabbie at Churchill putting them into the Grand final which they lost to Ex Student.
